Linda Ballard is Coming - 20% Off All Fabric on the Bolt!

Is it finally spring?

Linda Ballard is Coming!
We are so very lucky to have a nationally recognized teacher come right here to Weaverville twice a year. Did you know Linda was nominated for Quilt Teacher of the Year last year? The world is finding out what we already know--Linda is loads of fun, can show you how to get the most from your tools and will help you create a lovely work of quilt art at her retreats. Linda will be here for 3 weekends in April--if you've never been to one of Linda's retreats, what are you waiting for? You can find out more about her retreats (and find handy online registration forms) at www.letsquilt.com.

Fabric of Vision from Ashland, Oregon will be vending at Linda's retreat this weekend-April 9-11. Sandi Globus, the shop owner, would love to have you come visit and shop at her store-on-the-road. This is a great chance to shop with Sandi right here in town, without the long drive to Ashland. Just stop in at the retreat located in the meeting hall of the Victorian Inn and they will direct you to Sandi's store. While you are there, check out the fun going on at Linda's retreat and sign up for one of her great quilt mysteries.

20% Off Fabric on the Bolt, April 9-24
In honor of Linda coming to Weaverville, we will be having a sale on all of our fabrics on the bolt (excludes consignments). We have some great new fabrics--including new batiks from Hoffman, Princess Mirah and Island Batiks as well as some new prints from Blank, including Fusion Illusion, Contessa Court, Maribella and Winter Wonderland Flannels. Sale goes from Friday April 9 to Saturday April 24 so you have plenty of time to take advantage of this great sale.

Spring Hours at Textile Traditions
Spring has sprung and we are now open 5 days per week (Tuesday-Saturday) and will be open from 10AM-5:30PM, closing at 4PM on Saturdays.

New Books Here Now!
The new shipment of books have arrived! There are lots of great new titles to provide you with inspiration for great new quilts. Put some of those great spring colors into a lovely quilt--guaranteed to banish winter blues.

Portola Quilt Show April 17-18
Sue will be on the road to attend the Portola Quilt Show with our traveling store. The Cabin Fever Quilters are a fun-loving, friendly group who put on a great show at the Veterans Memorial Hall on Highway 70 in the center of town. If you are going that way, be sure to stop by to see great quilts, buy raffle tickets for the huge trunk of fabric, and check out the guild boutique--I've found some great quilting treasures there. Then take a short drive over the bridge to "old town" Portola to visit our friend Lorraine at Homestead Fabrics on 141 Nevada Street. Her shop has a great selection of Asian and trendy prints, and if you ever need fabric with railroad or train themed prints, she has 'em!

Don't forget your printable coupons!
